Today’s featured equestrian high school senior photo session is with Morgan, her horse Walter and her puppy Candy Corn.  What a blast they were to work with!  And on top of everything else it was Morgan’s birthday!

When Morgan’s mom Terry called me to book the session and we chatted about some details, I could barely hold my excitement.  Besides that Morgan wanted to have equestrian photos she was also bringing her puppy!  The locations they chose couldn’t have been more perfect – a red barn next to the small pond where Morgan practices her hunter/jumper riding, and York River State Park where she likes to spend her time, and which is just a few minutes away from her home.  During the pre-session consultation we styled Morgan’s outfits to make sure they matched the selected “backdrops”.

I absolutely love including hobbies, sports, pets and everything that shows who my seniors are in this moment of their lives.  I strive to create high school senior portraits that, when looked at 10, 20 or 50 years later, will show the personality, character of the girls and guys I photograph, their styles and, of course, things they liked and fur friends they had.   We incorporated all these elements into Morgan’s session.  Did I mention that it was a gorgeous day in late October?

Morgan goes to Warhill High School. She is a talented and passionate horseback rider.  She’s been riding horses since she’s been a little girl.  She also studies and works hard to become a veterinarian.  Walter and Candy Corn did a fantastic job in front of the camera.

Enjoy these fun senior photos!
